Steve Walasavage is a US-based landscape and adventure photographer whose work explores the relationship between light, place, and the experience of being outdoors. His vibrant yet realistic style is rooted in a desire to transport the viewer; to make distant deserts, mountains, forests, and night skies feel immediate and tangible.
Originally from outside Boston, Massachusetts, Steve spent much of his childhood hiking and exploring the outdoors in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, experiences that helped shape a lifelong connection to wild places. He later studied physics, and that scientific background continues to influence the way he approaches photography: with curiosity, experimentation, and a fascination with light, motion, atmosphere, and the night sky.
Today, Steve travels and creates alongside his wife and children, who share his love of exploration. Whether photographing a dramatic landscape, chasing unusual weather, or staying out late beneath the stars, his work is ultimately about discovery and sharing the wonder of being somewhere extraordinary.
