HEAVYALIEN
Artist
David Maxwell is a Canadian artist working as HEAVYALIEN.
First recognized by the community in 2023 through his Opepen concepts and meme artwork, David has since developed a broader digital media practice and a more focused approach to incorporating physical and digital media together.
David enjoys building systems and exploring his creativity through game development, code-generated art, and music composition.
For physical work, David chooses to focus on a standard 2.5" × 3.5" trading card format. Each artwork is encased in a protective slab and labelled with a QR code linking to its digital counterpart.
He credits the Opepen and Chonks communities for being his main supporters and is grateful to be among such kind and talented people.
