Fahmi Khan
Artist
Fahmi Khan is a published and award-winning mixed-media visual artist and art educator working in traditional media and NFTs. A woman of color trained in printmaking, her work has been published in Strokes of Genius (3 and 5) and Splash (14). She has exhibited nationally and internationally; her work has been shown at NFT.NYC in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and she has spoken at those same conferences. Years in nonprofit work, women’s and child health care in developing countries, and art used in support of adult literacy shape how she works. Khan uses her art to speak metaphorically about social norms and diversity, often focusing on women in those communities. Her recent work also traces a more private journey. After the loss of her son, she has used mixed media to metabolize grief through images that look dark on the surface, yet hold the slow rebirth of hope from destruction within many layers beneath. She is a leader, community builder, speaker, creativity coach and mentor who advocates for artists and for introducing NFTs into the traditional arts community. She recently retired from leading the Visual Arts Program of one of the largest school districts in Texas and is now a full time practicing artist.
